www.lifeprinciples.com Channel 5 news shows how low level laser therapy (LLLT) in Scottish hospitals is helping smokers kick their habit with relative ease. Over half the people shown on the programme quit smoking in this way. The equipment shown is produced by THOR and is used by most laser smoking cessation centres across the world. LLLT can also be used instead of needles for acupuncture and is ten times more effective than patches, gum or hypnotherapy according the results from two NHS trials in Scotland. www.thorlaser.com Many other clinics around the world also use Omega Laser equipment: www.omegalaser.co.uk Clinic in Birmingham, West Midlands, UK www.lifeprinciples.com Look out for LifePrinciples Laser clinics in Dublin, Glasgow, Newcastle-Upon-Tyne, Leeds, Manchester, Oxford, Cardiff, Cambridge and London (East, West,? Electronic Cigarettes. By www.NeuroSoup.com An electronic cigarette or "e-cigarette" is an alternative to smoked tobacco products, like cigarettes, cigars, or pipes. It is a battery-powered device that provides inhaled doses of nicotine by delivering a vaporized propylene glycol and nicotine solution. Electronic cigarettes are often designed to resemble the outward appearance of cigarettes and other real smoking products, like cigars or pipes. Another common design is the "pen-style", named because it looks like a ballpoint pen. When a user inhales through the device, air flow is detected by a sensor, which activates a heating element that vaporizes the nicotine solution that is stored in the mouthpiece. It is this vapor that is inhaled by the user. To help e-cigarettes look like real cigarettes, an LED light on the end of the device opposite the mouthpiece is activated during inhalation. Bid for stuff here qb.cm This is how I gave up smoking and my experience of it, I couldnt do it by will power alone. I have tried to quit before but failed. This new drug has come out called Champix and I thought Id give it a go, I loved smoking and really didnt want to stop but Im getting older and really want some fitness to do the things I like to do. Its also annoying that the world has alienated smokers and I am sick of that too. So here is my short story of how I quit. I chew lots of gum and also like the occasional redskin lolly to help me through. I might live longer now hopefully. With Champix, I think you actually start to withdraw the day you start taking them. The first week is spent smoking with no satisfaction. By the second week your brain has withdrawn from nicotine because the champix is blocking it. All you are doing after that is satisfying your physical habit of the action of having a smoke. Set a day at around 2 weeks after you start taking champix and stop, I know its hard but just do it! You will start to feel better about not smoking than it was to smoke. Good Luck !!!! Always consult your doctor if you have any issues. Most of them will be to withdrawing from cigarettes, but the tablets can make you feel sick, just make sure you eat before taking them.
